The overall objective of the project is to promote sustainable multimodal urban mobility and relevant adaptation measures to mitigate CO2 emissions in Targoviste. The specific objective of the investment is the fitting out of the infrastructure allowing cycling (the sectors will be integrated with the cycle paths already existing at the level of the municipality, as well as the modernisation/extension of the lighting system along the infrastructure), the development of intermodal urban/county/inter-county public transport terminals, the fitting out of Park&Ride parking lots, the development of the infrastructure necessary for the use of electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as the realization of pedestrian routes that will lead to the development of intermodality. Establishing a dedicated infrastructure for non-motorized transport will create a balance between the advantages offered to those who choose to use the bicycle and the advantages offered to those who choose to use the bicycle.
