The overall objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness of EMS-ELECTRA by developing and increasing the research capacity of the company integrated with the production of products in correlation with the smart specialisation strategy of the North-East Region – RIS 3 NE. The project aims to develop and bring to market new and innovative products for cereal and vegetable farms, by strengthening research and development capacities in the field of electronics and developing advanced software, in partnership with a university research institution. The project also aims to increase the competitiveness of EMS-Electra at national and international level by adopting controlled and standardised production processes in line with European practices. Thus, the purpose of the project is to achieve a real-time control and monitoring system for irrigation, in order to optimize energy and water consumption. The system will follow.
