The project ‘Modern and green public transport for the European city of Pecica’ has the overall objective of modernising and developing public transport infrastructure by creating a sustainable, efficient and safe urban mobility system. It contributes directly to Regional Intervention 4.1 - Sustainable urban mobility, by reducing carbon emissions, increasing the accessibility of public transport and improving road safety. The proposed investment aims to reduce road infrastructure failures in the city of Pecica and create an integrated public transport system based on electric buses, smart bus stops, e-ticketing and digitalised monitoring. The project aims both to modernize and expand public transport, providing easy and safe access for city residents, tourists and vulnerable categories.
