The present project deals with the purchase of a multifunctional test equipment designed for fatigue tests of railway wheelsets. This device allows the wheelset to be loaded not only with a two-point bending, but also with a four-point bending load, which fully simulates the real load on the railway wheelset in operation, and in addition allows the torsion test to be carried out. These tests must be carried out as part of the verification of material designs and surface protections of the R&D department, as well as to verify new wheelset designs.
