In the first quarter of 2026, EstProtein Foodtech OÜ will open a production unit producing protein isolates from Estonian rapeseed in Jõhvi Business Park in Ida-Viru County. Rapeseed protein isolates are used in food industries in increasing volumes as a component of plant-based beverages and food products.The production unit is built according to the principles of environmental sustainability. 50 jobs will be created in the production facility, contributing significantly to the regional development goals of Ida-Viru County. The estimated cost of the project is EUR 32.5 million.
