The purpose of the conditions for the grant of this allowance is to establish a support system for employed persons with long-term illness in order to prevent the development of permanent loss of capacity for work due to temporary incapacity for work and the drop-out from employment due to long-term illness and the risk of poverty, and to ensure that employers have the necessary information for designing a health-friendly working environment and working conditions for employees with long-term illness, which will enable them to work in conditions suitable for their health during sick leave.
