The aim of the project "Establishment of Jaunogres Active Recreation Quarter" (hereinafter - the project) is to integrate the existing territory into the urban environment as Jaunogres Active Recreation Quarter, which would attract residents to various active and passive recreation activities in accordance with the priority set by the municipality's development programme. The beneficiary of financing Ogre municipality will implement the following activities within the framework of the project: 1) Construction of an active recreation area and improvement of the territory; 2) new construction and rebuilding of engineering networks. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to create a multifunctional outdoor area suitable for activities of different age groups. The quarter will consist of a multifunctional field, an open-air sports tool field, activities for children and adolescents, a physical activity, recreation and walking area for seniors and parents with children, as well as a place for persons with functional disorders. Designed plantings and rows of plantings will create the necessary shade in passive recreation areas. The project has been developed following the principles of the New European Bauhaus and nature-based solutions. Planned project implementation time: Q3 2024 to Q3 2025.
