Within the framework of the project ‘Improvement of the Maritime Park’, the development of a public outdoor space is planned: the creation of sustainable infrastructure for the conservation of natural resources, the improvement of the quality of the living environment, the increase of public safety and the reduction of anthropogenic loads in the Maritime Park, Saulkrasti. The project plans to renovate the existing wooden footpath and wooden pavement of the Marine Park, to build a pedestrian promenade in the section from Vāravas Street to Vidrižu Street, to build a new energy-efficient LED lighting, to install benches and waste bins, thus ensuring safe movement and accessibility of the environment for residents and guests of Saulkrasti, including people with disabilities, seniors, children, and parents with small children. The project includes the development of technical documentation, construction supervision, author's supervision, construction, as well as publicity measures. The total cost of the project is 910 509.94 of which ERDF financing EUR 485 603 and municipal co-financing EUR 424 906.94. The implementation of the project is planned until 1 September 2025.
