Expansion of preschool educational institution "Kriksītis" at 16 E. Veidenbauma Street

The aim of the project "Expansion of pre-school educational institution "Criksītis at 16 E. Veidenbauma Street" is to expand the pre-school educational institution for the creation of new places for the enrolment of pre-school children in order to promote the availability of pre-school education services for pre-school children. Within the framework of the project, reconstruction and renovation of the premises of the existing pre-school educational institution, addition to the former building of the service hotel, creation of a connecting tunnel, reconstruction and adaptation of the premises of the service hotel to the needs of the pre-school educational institution, improvement of the territory, ensuring the accessibility of the environment are planned. During the implementation of the project, the pre-school educational institution was expanded and 176 new places were created, thus reducing the queue to the pre-school educational institution in the municipality. As of 1 October 2023, there are 213 children aged 1.5 and above to the place in the municipal pre-school educational institution. It is planned to invest more than 5 million euros in the implementation of the project. The financing of the European Regional Development Fund for the project amounts to 3 066 624.00 and local government co-financing amounts to EUR 1 871 493.93, which in total amounts to EUR 4 938 117.93, on the basis of point 30.2 of Cabinet Regulation No 292 of 6 June 2023. The total cost of the project is estimated at EUR 5 300 000. Project implementation is planned from Q3 2024 and the project is expected to be implemented within 24 months.After project approval, the beneficiary will create a separate section for the project on the website www.liepaja.lv, where the basic information about the project will be indicated: project name, project number, implementation time, project objectives and the result to be achieved, an indication that the project is co-financed with financial support received by the European Union, as well as the visual identity associated with the project. On the established website, regular press releases will be published on the progress of the project implementation.SMS will be published on the social networks of the Liepaja Education Board in order to make the information available to the general public. References to the project will also be used in text messages.In addition, a reference to the project – name, number and visual identity – will also be required to inform the public at the project site, during construction, the contractor when installing an information plaque/poster about the works. After the construction works have been carried out, a permanent plaque will be installed at the site, which will be visible to the public, indicating the name of the project, the time of implementation, a reference to the support received by the European Union, and the appropriate visual identity will be used.
