In order to promote the economic activity of Alūksne municipality, it is necessary to develop public infrastructure by creating a new infrastructure suitable for commercial activities and arranging the existing infrastructure with the necessary utilities and road network, so that the municipality would be attractive for the development of small and medium-sized businesses (including service providers) and ensuring competitiveness, facilitating the transition to a climate-neutral economy. Access to existing business development areas is difficult and the state of the municipal road network is critical. Due to the lack of funding, it has not been possible to improve it for several years, which has a significant impact on the potential for business development. As a result of the project, the necessary public infrastructure for entrepreneurship will be created in the city of Alūksne and the territory of the municipality (Mālpe civil parish, Alūksne municipality), making investments in the development of utilities and road network, ensuring environmentally friendly and sustainable growth of the territory, facilitating the transition to a climate neutral economy. Within the framework of the project, the main planned activities:Construction of public traffic infrastructure:In the city: Renovation of Alsviķu and Lauku Streets, renovation of the cover of Helēna Street (from Alsviķu Street to Augusta Street) and construction of a new pedestrian sidewalk, construction of a new public road in the territory of Alsviķu Street with parking lots and street lighting infrastructure, rainwater drainage and drainage networks;In the municipality: Reconstruction of the municipal motorway "Mālipe - Skola".2. Construction of water management infrastructure: Construction of new water supply and sewerage networks in Alūksne city. By providing a greater potential impact on mitigating the economic, social and environmental consequences of the transition to climate neutrality in Alūksne Municipality, at least 13 merchants will benefit from the developed public infrastructure, at least 11 new jobs will be created, and at least EUR 800 000 of non-financial investments in intangible and fixed assets will be attracted. The total cost of the project is EUR 1 411 764.71, including JTF funding of EUR 1 200 000. Local government co-financing of the eligible costs of the project in the amount of 182 754.30 EUR. Costs for water management activities total EUR 193 402.76, of which the partner's (SIA "RŪPE") share of financing EUR 29 010.41, which amounts to 15% and JTF EUR 164 392.35, which is 85%. The cost of the extra-project is EUR 265 004,82, which is expected to be covered by the municipal budget. Planned total duration of the project implementation - within 15 months from the conclusion of the agreement on the implementation of the project.
