Operation of the EURES network in Latvia

The aim of the project is to improve access to informational support measures for workers, unemployed persons, jobseekers and employers by providing support in job searching and establishing employment legal relationships, organising and implementing 600 activities of the European Employment Services (EURES) network.The project will implement the following measures for jobseekers, employers, involving cooperation partners of state and local governments, non-governmental institutions: seminars, discussions, meetings, thematic lectures, information days, consultations, job and career exhibitions, job fairs, providing support when selecting personnel, etc. It is planned to provide information on available vacancies in Latvia and in the countries of the European Union and the European Economic Area (EU/EEA), living and working conditions, administrative procedures, on the process of registration of vacancies, sending of employees, labour demand and supply, possibilities for joint cooperation, identification of current needs both at national and international level; EURES meetings and conferences. Organise seminars on the EURES communication strategy and common service standards for employees of the National Employment Agency (NVA). Participation of EURES advisers in working groups, organisation of experience exchange seminars, trainings and information seminars for employees of the SEA; Development and production of information materials (leaflets, factsheets, etc.). Within the framework of the implementation of the project, it is planned to implement 600 EURES activities by 31 December 2029, including 100 by 31 December 2024. The planned date of conclusion of the agreement on the implementation of the project is considered to be the start of the implementation of the project, but the costs for the implementation of the project activities in accordance with Cabinet Regulation No 689 are eligible as of 1 December 2023.The total planned costs of the project are EUR 1 485 000, including the financing of the European Social Fund Plus – EUR 1 262 250 and the co-financing of the State budget – EUR 222 750.
