The aim of the project "Development of professional and modern social work" is to increase the efficiency of social work and the professionalism of specialists working in the social field. Development of professional competence, including:1.1. development and implementation of professional development education programmes;1.2. development and implementation of higher education programmes, including internships of teaching staff in institutions providing social services in Latvia;1.3. provision of supervision;1.4. development and, if necessary, updating of methodologies, including training programmes;1.5. implementation of training programmes for the acquisition of methodologies.2. Creation of a professional support network for the development of social work.3. Implementation of awareness-raising and public awareness-raising activities.4. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the work of local government social service providers.5. Ex-post evaluation of project results and clients' current needs and challenges for further development of social work.6.
