The aim of the project "Childcare service" is to provide support to local governments for the purchase of a child supervision service, promoting work-life balance and equal opportunities for all families. The target group of the measure is families raising pre-school age children (from the age of one and a half years until the commencement of basic education) and for which local governments, in the administrative territory of which the place of residence of such children and at least one of the parents (legal representative) of such child is declared, do not provide places in pre-school educational institutions of local governments, including groups of socially and economically vulnerable persons. When implementing the project, the co-financing of the municipality will be reduced, parents will not have to cover the co-financing share, directly improving the socio-economic situation of families with children of pre-school age. By providing childcare services, it is possible to raise the standard of living of the population, as parents of children of preschool age can return to the labour market in a timely manner. The implementation of the decision during the implementation of the project has a significant impact on the au pair sector, providing au pairs with children, the project has an impact on all sectors of the economy during its operation, providing the possibility for parents to resume work in a timely manner. As of 1 October 2023, there are 213 children aged 1.5 and over to the place in the municipal pre-school educational institution. Within the framework of the project, the planned result of the project is at least 150 children and their parents or legal representatives who have received a child supervision service for at least one to three years. The planned amount of European Social Fund Plus (hereinafter - ESF+) support is 364 eur (85% of the funding) and local government co-financing 64.24 eur (15% of the funding) per child in one calendar month, totalling 428.24 eur of funding. By providing a child supervision service for 150 children in one calendar year, the total cost of the project reaches 822 220, 80 eur and in the three-year period 2 312 496, 00 eur, of which 1 965 600,00 eur is ESF+ funding and 346 896,00 eur is municipal co-financing. Project costs in each year are calculated after the project service provision period (number of calendar months in the particular year of project implementation). The project is planned to be implemented as of September 2024, which means that in 2024 the total cost for the 4-month period is 256 944, 00 eur of which 218 400, 00 is ESF+ funding and 38 544, 00 eur is municipal co-financing. In 2025 and 2026, the project costs for one calendar year amount to 770 832.00 eur, of which 655 200.00 eur is ESF+ funding and 115 632.00 eur is municipal co-financing. In 2027, for the 8-month period of the project, the costs amount to 513 888, 00 eur of which 436 800, 00 eur is ESF+ funding and 77 088, 00 eur is municipal co-financing. Within the framework of the project, in September 2024, it is planned to request the payment of an advance of 30%, which is the maximum amount available within the framework of the project. The project is planned to be implemented from September 2024 (3rd quarter) and the project is planned to be implemented for 3 years until the end of August 2027 (3rd quarter).
