The aim of the project is to improve patient safety and quality of care in the provision of health care services. The target group of the project is medical institutions and all residents of the Republic of Latvia.The activities to be supported by the project are:1.Project management and implementation.2.Development, updating, implementation and monitoring of quality indicators, clinical (patient) pathways and clinical algorithms in accordance with internationally recognised guidelines.3.Improvement of knowledge and skills of health care personnel in patient safety and health care quality management issues.4.Improvement of experience of patients and health care personnel on received health care services.5.Ensuring continuity of patient care and quality of care.6.Ensuring communication and visual identity requirements.As a result of the implementation of the activities, it is planned to improve patient safety and quality of care in 41 medical institutions. As a result of the project activities, the staff of the above institutions will be trained on patient safety and quality of services, as well as the use of documents developed within the project (quality indicators, clinical (patient) pathways and clinical algorithms in accordance with internationally recognised guidelines) will be ensured.The total funding available for the project is EUR 3 045 000.00, including financing from the European Social Fund Plus (85%) 2 588 250.00 and co-financing from the State budget (15%) EUR 456 750.00. The project is planned to be implemented from the moment when the agreement on the implementation of the project has been concluded and to be completed by 31 December 2029. The project will include project management and implementation personnel costs incurred before the conclusion of the project agreement, as well as individual eligible activities included in the project application, which have started before the conclusion of the project implementation agreement, in accordance with 19.12.2023. Paragraph 11 of Cabinet Regulation No 807, but not earlier than 1 January 2024.
