The project "Renovation of social housing in Vecumnieki parish" provides for the reconstruction of the dormitory type apartments on the second and third floors of the building into 18 individual apartments - dwellings suitable for socially and economically vulnerable persons, which correspond to dignified living conditions. The reconstruction project will provide full interior decoration of the dormitory type apartments on the second and third floors of the building, the bathrooms and toilets will be equipped with a plumbing – a sink, a faucet, a pot and a bathtub or a shower cabin, and the kitchen will be equipped with a plumbing – a sink and a faucet.The location chosen for the project is located in a real estate at 29a Rīgas Street, Vecumnieki, Vecumnieku Parish, Bauskas Nov., owned by the municipality of Bauska. (cadastre No 40940120675001). The building is located in the centre of Vecumnieki with easy access to public services, public transport. In accordance with the autonomous functions laid down in the Law on Local Governments, the local government is obliged to provide support to residents in solving social problems, as well as the opportunity to receive social assistance and social services, as well as to provide assistance to residents in solving housing issues, as well as to promote the establishment, maintenance and modernisation of the housing stock.The total planned costs of the project are up to EUR 534 114.66, ERDF funding EUR 267 750.00, co-financing of Bauska Municipality Municipality EUR 266 364.66.The project implementation period: 08.2024.- 12.2029.
