The project "Renovation of Social Housing (Buildings) in Southern Kurzeme Region" is intended to ensure access to housing that meets dignified living conditions for socially and economically vulnerable aprons and reduce queues in the municipality for renting out such housing. The project plans to fully renovate a building owned by the municipality in Vaiņode, Southern Kurzeme Region and Aizpute, Southern Kurzeme Region, with 25 apartments being renovated in total. The apartments are designed to provide full finishing and plumbing in bathrooms and kitchens. As a result of the renewal: 25 new apartments will be created in two buildings that meet all the standards and requirements of modern residence; socially vulnerable people will be offered accessible and dignified accommodation that meets their needs and resources; the project will contribute to the well-being and social integration of society by enabling people with limited resources to live in acceptable and stable conditions. the renovated buildings will serve as an example of good practice for other municipalities and organisations striving to address housing shortages and provide accessible housing for socially vulnerable people. Overall, the project will make a significant contribution to housing and promote social cohesion and inclusion in the region of Southern Kurzeme. The total budget of the project is EUR 1 813 569.49, including: EUR 1 275 000 from the ERDF and EUR 538 569.49 from the municipality. Project implementation time: 2024-2028
