In line with section 6 of the EC Closure Guidelines, ‘two-period project’, providing for the relocation and financing of certain actions within the framework of the EU Funds 2021. Within the framework of the programming period 2027-2027, this is the second phase of the project, ensuring the achievement of the common project objectives and the functionality of the project. The aim of the project is to improve access to high-quality health care services, especially for people at risk of social and territorial exclusion and poverty, by developing the infrastructure of SIA "Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital", which is partly or fully related to the provision of emergency medical assistance and health care services in the field of cardiovascular, as well as oncology, in accordance with the specific support objective 9.3.2 of the operational programme "Growth and Employment" of the EU funds 2014-2020 programming period. In order to achieve the objective of the project, within the framework of the project activities, the medical departments of the SIA "Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital" hospital "Gaiļezers" will be carried out, the activities of which are related to the provision of health care in the field of cardiovascular, as well as oncology, renovation of premises and reconstruction of the engineering communications necessary for the functioning of these departments. Main project activities: 2nd stage of restoration of medical departments of the hospital "Gaiļezers" Provision of information and publicity measures. As a result of the implementation of the project activities, the infrastructure of SIA "Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital" hospital "Gaiļezers" will be improved, which is related to the provision of health care services in the field of cardiovascular, as well as oncology. The result of the project - the premises of the medical departments of the hospital "Gaiļezers" have been renovated with an area of at least 24 000 m2. Total eligible costs of the project 13 651 480,00 EUR, including the amount of European Regional Development Fund support - 11 603 758,00 Duration of Phase I of the project: 76 months. The duration of the implementation of Phase II of the project shall be no later than the end of the programming period, which is 31.12.2029.
