The project aims to develop business public infrastructure in the city of Smiltene, mitigating negative socio-economic consequences in the regions most affected by the transition to a climate-neutral economy. The construction intention is to arrange public infrastructure for the improvement of the business environment by rebuilding the section of the centre of Smiltene - Kalna Street, part of Pils Street and the territory of the existing Smiltene bus station, thus creating a more attractive business environment for existing and new entrepreneurs, positively impacting the competitiveness of enterprises, the growth of economic activities and the creation of new jobs in the city of Smiltene. In order to improve the business environment, increase the competitiveness of the city, within the framework of the project it is planned to create a convenient, environmentally accessible part of the street, creating modern solutions for street profiles, choosing the appropriate coverings for the street part, ensuring the durability of the street's load-bearing structures, improvement solutions that would continue to maintain, improve and develop the particularly dynamic atmosphere of Smiltene. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to carry out reconstruction works of the infrastructure section of the centre of Smiltene (rebuilding of Kalna Street, parts of Pils Street, dismantling of the existing building and toilet in Smiltene, landscaping, improvement of street lighting, reconstruction of engineering networks, improvement works, construction of 96 parking lots, etc.), author's supervision and construction supervision, as well as a water pipe will be built in Kalna Street, Smiltene and author's supervision and construction supervision will be carried out for the relevant works. Project expected deliverables: Merchants benefiting from developed public infrastructure - 7; Private non-financial investment in intangible and fixed assets - EUR 1 100 000; jobs created by merchants, which have benefited from the developed public infrastructure - 14; The project is planned to be implemented from QIV 2024 to 31 December 2026. The idea of the project is in line with the Smiltene Municipality Sustainable Development Strategy 2013-2037 and it is included in the Smiltene Municipality Development Programme 2022-2028. The total cost of the project is EUR 1 918 732.00, of which the total eligible costs are EUR 1 769 903.52. The JTF financing is EUR 1 507 272.97. The financing of Smiltene municipality to cover eligible costs is EUR 262 630.55 and to cover extra-project costs EUR 140 767.36. The private eligible costs of the partner - SIA "Smiltenes NKUP" are EUR 3 358.80 and the private extra-project costs are EUR 4 702.32.
