Access to justice

The objective of the Access to Justice project is to establish a developed system of state-provided legal support, expanding access to justice for vulnerable persons, providing for timely and accessible provision of legal support to citizens in order to prevent cases where failure to address legal issues negatively affects the social and economic situation of citizens and exposes them to the risk of poverty and (or) social exclusion. The project activities start in June 2024 and will be implemented by June 2027. The total cost is EUR 1099 104.00, of which: EUR 934 238.00 from the European Social Fund and EUR 164 866.00 from the national budget without flexibility. Within the framework of the project, the following activities will be implemented:- reforming and improving the effectiveness of the state-provided legal aid system, which is aimed at the support of vulnerable and injured persons, ensuring timely access to justice for those persons;- finding solutions for timely identification and resolution of legal problems;- developing existing and new information technologies and digital solutions in order to more effectively ensure the rights of socially vulnerable persons, including improving the effectiveness of inter-institutional cooperation;- informing the target group about the receipt of state-provided legal aid services in order to increase the target group's competence and understanding of the importance of timely resolution of legal disputes, as well as informing about the training of persons involved in the state-provided legal aid system, raising the level of competences and skills;- project management and ensuring the implementation of the project;- fulfilling the conditions for ensuring the project communication and visual identity requirements. Planned monitoring indicators to be achieved:1) by 31 December 2024 (intermediate value):- Output indicator - employed persons, including self-employed persons - 50.2) By 31 December 2029:- Output indicator - employed persons, including self-employed persons - 500;- Output indicator - number of national, regional or local public administrations or public services and services supported - 1;- Output indicator - certificates issued for a training course to increase the level of professional competences - 350.
