SIA Ādažu ūdens has developed a project entitled ‘Development of sewage and sludge management system to reduce pollution and increase capacity at the Ādaži WWTP’ The aim of the project is to improve the efficiency of water management services by ensuring adequate infrastructure capacity, improving operational efficiency as well as reducing environmental pollution. Within the framework of the project, several activities are planned:·increase the total nominal capacity of Ādaži WWTP complex from 3038m3 per day to 3500m3 per day or by 15%. This increase will be achieved with the construction of another bioreactor in addition to the existing 4 bioreactors.· to upgrade the existing bioreactors of Ādaži WWTP to ensure higher purification efficiency. After the implementation of the project, the concentration of N in the purified water will not exceed 10 mg/l, but the concentration of P will not exceed 0.7 mg/l.·replace one sludge dewatering plant of Ādaži WWTP into a new one - more modern, powerful and energy efficient. As a result of the project, the quality and efficiency of waste water treatment will be improved for at least 10712 inhabitants of Ādaži county. The total eligible costs of the project are planned at EUR 3 396 479.00, of which EUR 2 207 711.35 is ERDF co-financing and EUR 1 188 767.65 contribution from SIA Ādažu ūdens. The implementation of the project is planned to start on 02.01.2025, its total implementation time is 30 months.
