The aim of the project "Increasing the availability of community-based social services in Bauska Municipality" is to create a community-based social services infrastructure and increase the availability of community-based social services in Bauska Municipality for adults with mental disorders, children with functional disorders and persons of retirement age, including persons with dementia. With this project, the municipality plans to increase the availability of community-based social services in Bauska Municipality, thus supporting people at risk of social exclusion and poverty and providing them with the necessary services at local level. The project involves the creation and improvement of community-based social services, which correspond to the autonomous functions of Bauska municipality, as defined in the Law on Local Governments. 1) persons of legal age with mental disorders for whom a disability group I or II has been determined; 2) children with functional disorders for whom a disability has been determined and who live in families; 3) persons of retirement age, including persons with dementia.and identified the needs of such persons for community-based social services, which the local government cannot provide at the moment, therefore the creation or supplementing of missing services is included in the project, expanding the availability of community-based social services for the inhabitants of Bauska Municipality.The main activities of the project are related to the establishment of community-based social services infrastructure and the provision of services. In order to implement the objective of the project and achieve the output indicator set out in the project – 25 new community-based service sites, the local government will develop the following infrastructure within the framework of the project by 31 December 2027: Infrastructure 1 - Expansion of the infrastructure of the Day Care Centre for Children with Functional Disabilities in the Multifunctional Social Services Centre "Red School" in Vecumnieki by rebuilding and adding the premises of 61.4 m2 to the existing day care centre for children with functional impairments and purchasing equipment and furniture, as well as by fencing and improving the area for outdoor activities in the area adjacent to the building, thus creating the infrastructure for the day care centre service for children with functional impairments with 5 service locations. 2.infrastructure - creation of a day care centre for children with functional disorders in the multifunctional social service centre "Red School" in Iecava, purchasing equipment and furniture, as well as fencing and improving the area for outdoor activities in the area adjacent to the building, thus creating infrastructure for the day care centre service for children with functional disorders with 10 service places. 3.Infrastructure - Development of the Day Care Centre for persons of retirement age, including persons with dementia, at Dārza Street 12b, Bauska, by constructing a building in the territory and improving the territory around it, thus creating the infrastructure for the service of the Day Care Centre for persons of retirement age, including persons with dementia with 10 service places. 4.Infrastructure - Purchase of a vehicle equipped and adapted for the provision of the home care service, thus creating the service infrastructure for all persons of the project target group in Iecava and Vecumnieki rural areas. Within the framework of the project, after the infrastructure has been established within 24 months, the provision of services to persons of the target group - a total of 25 service places - will be ensured and financed from the eligible costs of the project. An assessment of the individual needs of the target group will be provided before starting the provision of the service. The provision of the home care service with a vehicle adapted to the service purchased in the project will be provided for the financial resources of the municipality.The total planned costs of the project up to EUR 1 988 096.35, the financing of the European Social Fund Plus up to EUR 1 689 881.89 does not exceed 85% of the total eligible financing and the co-financing of Bauska Municipality Municipality up to EUR 298 214.46 does not exceed 15% of the total eligible financing. The infrastructure provided for in the project is planned to be established by 31 December 2027 at the latest. The project is planned to be implemented by 31 December 2029.
