The aim of the project is to improve equal and timely access to health promotion and disease prevention services by providing local health promotion and disease prevention measures in Bauska Municipality. The main activities of the project - health promotion and disease prevention measures for all inhabitants of the municipality at all age stages and different target groups depending on the field, territorially covering cities and parishes located in the territory of the municipality: promoting sexual and reproductive health, reducing and preventing addictions, reducing trauma, promoting mental health, promoting healthy eating, promoting physical activity, promoting health and improving disease prevention, prenatal and early childhood parents’ skills programmes to prevent premature mortality, disability, promote quality of life and improve citizens’ health literacy. Planned results of the project: The use of a healthy and balanced diet is promoted; Increased physical activity of the population on a daily basis; The mental health of the population has improved; Decreased use of addictive substances and process dependencies among the population; Child and adult traumatisation has decreased, including improved safety of children and adults on and near water and increased use of safety equipment in traffic; Citizens are better educated on sexual and reproductive health; The role of local government, educational institutions, medical institutions and non-governmental organisations in disease prevention and health promotion has been strengthened. Improved skills of parents in the period of postnatal and neonatal care. The total cost of the project is EUR 326 484.00, including ESF+ funding of EUR 277 511.40 and national budget funding of EUR 48 972.60.
