The aim of the project is to improve equal and timely access to health promotion and disease prevention services by implementing health promotion and disease prevention measures in Rezekne state city. The target group of the project - all residents of Latvia, especially those at risk of poverty, social and territorial exclusion, in all age groups. Main activities - ensuring project management and implementation and health promotion and disease prevention activities in the target group and the local community (educational activities on healthy diet, swimming training, yoga classes, outdoor and indoor gymnastics classes, gymnastics classes for children for prevention of posture problems, events "Festival of well-being", "Health day of the elderly", "Heart and blood vessel day", classes "Daily without addictions", event "Take care of your own safety", cycle of lectures on children's development stages, cycle of youth classes "Be healthy", skating classes, health promotion camps, health school for future parents, support groups for parents, health promotion weeks in Rēzekne preschool educational institutions). Planned results - the planned activities will promote the daily use of healthy diets of the target groups and understanding of the role of healthy diets in health promotion and disease prevention. The proportion of the population engaged in physical activity will increase. Residents will develop a positive attitude to physical activity, they will become an important part of everyday life. Persons with disabilities will be able to engage in a number of physical activities that will contribute to disease prevention and improve their quality of life. Awareness of trauma in different circumstances will be developed among target groups, children and young people will acquire knowledge about unexpected situations, safety at home and abroad. Children and young people will be made aware of the negative effects of addictive substances and processes. The target groups will be improved mental health, the number of children and young people who have suffered from mockery of their peers will be reduced, the understanding of the psychological development processes of children and young people, the psycho-emotional environment in the family, the signs of burnout syndrome will be promoted. Prejudices against psychiatric conditions will be reduced and available support opportunities will be promoted. Target groups will learn stress reduction techniques that can be used in a variety of everyday situations. As a result of the project, 799 events will be organised: 2 events on Heart and Vascular Day, 2 events on Festival of Well-Beings, 2 events on Senior Health Day, 30 lessons on Day without Addiction, 20 support group meetings, 30 events on healthy diets, 30 events on healthy diets for persons with disabilities, 30 events on healthy diets before pension and retirement age, 20 events on taking care of their safety, 20 lectures on child development stages, 20 lessons on Be healthy, 2 health promotion camps for children and young people with disabilities, 3 health promotion camps for children from poor and low-income families, children from single-parent families, 2 health promotion camps for children, 60 swimming training sessions, 40 swimming sessions for persons with disabilities, 30 swimming training sessions before retirement and retirement age for residents, 150 events within the framework of health promotion weeks in Rezekne pre-school educational institutions, 42 sessions for prospective parents, 4 sessions "Take care of the safety of the child", 40 skating sessions, 50 yoga sessions, 100 outdoor and indoor gymnastics sessions, 70 exercise sessions for children to prevent problems.Project costs - EUR 208 872.00 (ESF+ funding EUR 177 541.20, State budget funding EUR 31 330.80). Planned project implementation period: from January 2025 to December 2026.
