The aim of the project "Liepaja.Vesels.Active.Happy.2.0" is to improve equal and timely access to health promotion and disease prevention services by providing local health promotion and disease prevention measures in the city of Liepaja. The target group of the project is all residents of Latvia, especially those at risk of poverty, social and territorial risk in all age groups (persons with disabilities, residents older than 54 years, children, as well as other persons at risk). 3059 events will be provided within the framework of the project. The project is planned to run from Q1 2025 to Q4 2028. The project will implement health promotion and disease prevention measures to prevent premature mortality, work disability, promote quality of life and improve health literacy of the population in the following areas: physical activity, mental health, healthy nutrition, trauma reduction, addiction reduction and prevention, sexual and reproductive health, prenatal and early childhood parenting skills programmes, and improving health promotion and disease prevention. The planned health promotion and disease prevention measures are evidence- and data-based, for all residents of the municipality at all ages and for different target groups depending on the field. The total eligible costs of the project are EUR 531 309, including 85% ESF+ funding or EUR 451 612.65 and 15% or EUR 79 696.35 national budget funding. In order to ensure the continuity of the implementation of the project, pre-financing of Liepaja municipality is also planned.
