The aim of the project "Expansion of Liepaja Līvupe Primary School - Development Centre at 94 Klaipeda Street" is to organise the networks of special educational institutions of the local government and to improve the teaching environment and infrastructure, material and technical support and teaching aids in order to increase the capacity of special educational institutions in the provision of high-quality special education, as well as to effectively use the existing resources both in the maintenance of infrastructure and in the management of personnel. The direct target group of the project is special educational institutions founded by the local government, their teachers and students. Within the framework of the implementation of the project, the construction of an annex to the building of the Liepaja Līvupe Primary School-Development Centre at 94 Klaipeda Street is planned in order to arrange the network of a special educational institution and improve the learning environment, infrastructure and material and technical provision, thus increasing the provision of high-quality special education. The new building provides a service for primary school students. The long-term benefit of the project is the orderly common municipal infrastructure, combining the groups of children of the special pre-school educational program of the municipality, which are located at 53/55 Ezera Street together with the groups of children of the special basic educational program of the municipality, which are located at 94 Klaipeda Street, resulting in the acquisition of both educational programs for students in one place of implementation - 94 Klaipeda Street, Liepaja. The planned costs of the project amount to EUR 1 146 843.52, of which EUR 172 026.52 is co-financing from Liepaja City Municipality and EUR 974 817.00 is financing from the European Regional Development Fund (hereinafter - ERDF). The actual implementation of the project activities is planned from March 2025 to December 2028.
