The aim of the project "Health promotion activities in Jelgava" is to improve equal and timely access to health promotion and disease prevention services in Jelgava state city municipality, providing local health promotion and disease prevention measures. Actions planned under the project: Ensuring project management and implementation; Health promotion and disease prevention measures for target groups and the local community: Disease prevention measures; Complex health promotion measures; Physical activity; Educational activities on sexual and reproductive health; Educational events about mental health.The planned health promotion and disease prevention measures in the project are based on evidence and data.As a result of the implementation of the project, part of the population of Jelgava, who will have participated in health promotion and disease prevention measures, will change their dietary and other lifestyle habits in order to improve health. The total cost of the project is EUR 431 404.00, including EUR 366 693.40 from the European Social Fund Plus and EUR 64 710.60 from the State budget.The project implementation period is from Q1 2025 to Q4 2029.
