The objective of the project is the development of the infrastructure and learning environment of Jelgava State Municipal Educational Institution "Jelgava Primary School "Valdeka" - Development Centre", improving the learning environment and infrastructure of the special educational institution, as well as improving the material and technical facilities, including the equipment necessary for the provision of the learning process. Actions planned under the project: Improving the infrastructure and learning environment of the special education institution, including ensuring accessibility, creating new adapted learning spaces, repairing the gym and classrooms; Purchase of equipment and ergonomic furniture necessary for the acquisition of special education programmes; Implementation of information and communication technology solutions; Improvement of the territory adjacent to the building of the special educational institution; Publicity measures on the implementation of the project.Results to be achieved: The implementation of the activities planned under the project will improve the infrastructure and learning environment of 1 special education institution for the acquisition of the improved learning content, provide persons with disabilities with better access to the institution, promote the educational process corresponding to the needs and abilities of learners and contribute to the full development and inclusion of children in society. The implementation of the project activities will result in: Construction of new adapted 3 study rooms, hygiene rooms adapted for people with special needs and multifunctional self-care skills cabinet, including installation of acoustic loops; Repair of study rooms - renovation of the sports hall, repair of the 2nd floor premises of the school building; Installation of voice notification system; Purchase of furniture and equipment - ergonomic chairs and tables, warm grain equipment, couches for hygiene rooms, acoustic solutions, multifunctional self-care skills cabinet equipment and furniture, which will be used to provide the learning process; Introduction of innovative information and communication technology solutions - digitalization of school deed hall equipment, purchase of interactive boards and computers; The total cost of the project is estimated at EUR 914 285.00 (nine hundred fourteen thousand two hundred eighty-five euros and 00 cents), of which EUR 777 142.00 (seven hundred seventy seven thousand one hundred forty-two euros and 00 cents) is from the European Regional Development Fund and EUR 137 143.00 (one hundred thirty-seven thousand one hundred forty-three euros and 00 cents) is from Jelgava State city municipality.The implementation of the project will start from the date of conclusion of the contract, the project implementation period is from the 1st quarter of 2025 until 31 December 2028.
