Support for strengthening the capacity of the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis to participate in the Horizon Europe programme and the European Union's research and innovation 10. Framework programme, including participation in the EU-OPENSCREEN consortium

The aim of the project is to strengthen the scientific capacity of the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis (OSI) and to expand international research cooperation by ensuring the participation of OSI in Horizon Europe and the European Union Research and Innovation Programme 10 through the development of successful projects. The Framework Programme, including the implementation of the Latvian National Partnership Plan for participation in the European Open Screening Infrastructure Platform for Chemical Biology (EU-OPENSCREEN). Submission of tenders for IP sub-programmes and assessment above the quality threshold for the preparation of the project application;2) Ensuring participation in ERIC consortia and ESFRI platforms.Planned project results: Prepared and submitted at least 101 Horizon Europe and European Union Research and Innovation 10. Over-threshold application of the Framework Programme; participation in the ERIC (EU-OPENSCREEN) consortium (1 partnership plan);implemented EU-OPENSCREEN seminars will result in the upskilling of 50 scientists. The total eligible costs of the project are EUR 1 493 000, of which 85% are financed by the European Regional Development Fund in the amount of EUR 1 269 050,00 and 15% by the State budget in the amount of EUR 223 950.00. The project is of a non-economic nature.Period of implementation of the project - from the conclusion of the agreement on the implementation of the project in the 2nd quarter of 2025 to 30 November 2029.
