The project, within the framework of which the modernisation of the study environment of RTU is envisaged, envisages investments both in the purchase of equipment, equipment, hardware, visual and technical means, computer hardware, technologies, materials, inventory and tools necessary for the implementation of the STEAM study programmes, as well as in the modernisation of the infrastructure of the premises, primarily envisaging the implementation of investments aimed at the modernisation of the study environment and equipment, the implementation of various technological solutions, while also not excluding construction solutions for the implementation of improvements and adaptations in order to modernise the STEAM study programmes. Costs for project management and communication and visual identity requirements for project implementation are also foreseen within the framework of the project. In order to achieve the objective and output and result indicators corresponding to the Cabinet regulations, RTU, together with its cooperation partners, plans as the main activities:- purchase and installation of several study laboratory kits, including high-tech equipment, 3D printers, laser equipment, digital prototyping equipment, composite material production equipment, equipment, materials, CNC milling equipment, multifunctional collaborative robot, aerospace satellite, training kits, visualization equipment and equipment (valves, detectors, spectrometers, etc.), biomedical engineering study kit, mobile work station charging cabinet, fire safety and civil protection disaster modelling laboratory installation kit, ship system laboratory (electrical, electronic systems, etc.), e-study material production studio development and equipment, production equipment and equipment kits for the Mechanical Workshop, 110W nanosecond fibre system, etc. -Purchase and installation of multimedia kits;-Purchase of computer equipment to modernise the study environment in computer classes, library, to provide more effective online learning opportunities and to ensure that students and academic staff are able to participate in the teaching and research process with more possibilities than before;-Construction works for the adaptation of premises at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology of RTU and Liepaja Maritime College to install teaching equipment and hardware. including five institutes.As well as RTU Institute of Architecture and Design, Latvian Maritime Academy, Liepaja Academy and Rezekne Academy.And RTU cooperation partners - Liepaja Maritime College of Riga Technical University and Olaine Technology College of Riga Technical University.The implementation of the project is expected to start from the moment of concluding the Agreement on the implementation of the project and to be completed in June 2029. The total cost of the project is EUR 7 939 144.00, of which 85% or EUR 6 748 272.40 is ERDF support.
