Exploring and supporting the needs of families, strengthening the emotional resilience of children in crisis, violence situations

The aim of the project is to study the dynamics of demographic processes and implement support measures for children and families to promote psychological and emotional resilience in situations of crisis, violence, discrimination. Support measures have been implemented to reduce discrimination and violence in educational institutions and in the e-environment at school: experience exchange measures on the management of incidents of discrimination and violence have been implemented, a study has been carried out on the practices of educational institutions available abroad and in Latvia for the management of incidents of discrimination and violence, a system for the management of incidents of discrimination and violence has been developed and approved, and a training system for teachers and support staff of general and vocational educational institutions has been provided for in educational institutions, as well as provision of a training programme for pupils and teachers to reduce discrimination as a prevence to violence has been provided;2. A support system for children, their families in the face of death, serious illness or disability of relatives or friends has been established – experience exchange events and think tanks have been implemented, a support system for children and their families in the face of death, serious illness or disability of relatives or friends has been developed and approved, a minimum service basket has been developed and services and types of support for the target group have been collected, training of local government specialists has been carried out for the implementation of the support system in local governments.3. Implementation of studies necessary for the development of demographic policy and promotion of research results was carried out, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based policy in the development of national development policy;4. Measures to ensure communication and visual identity requirements have been implemented;5. Project management and project implementation have been ensured. Planned results Children with development difficulties, underdevelopment or risk of its formation (cumulative number) for whom positive development and self-realisation has been promoted – 4000 children under 18 years of age have received support under the project. Number of supported national, regional or local public administrations or public service bodies and services: 1. By 31 December 2024, the following result indicator shall be achieved: 200 children under the age of 18 having received support. By 31 December 2029, the following result indicator shall be achieved: children with developmental difficulties, underdevelopment or risk of developing it (cumulative number), for which positive development and self-realisation have been promoted - 4000. The total funding available for the project is EUR 4 425 328, including EUR 3 761 528 from the European Social Fund Plus and EUR 663 800 from the state budget. The project will be implemented from the date of conclusion of the agreement on the implementation of the project and will be implemented no later than by 31 December 2029.
