The aim of the project is to create a child- and family-friendly environment, in cooperation with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and employers, to build a society that supports families with children by implementing measures and support programmes to promote psychological and emotional resilience, creating preconditions for the positive development and social integration of children, enabling them to realise their potential for a successful life. As a result of the project, support will be provided to the target groups of the project - children under 18 years of age, persons caring for children under 18 years of age, families with children, as well as NGOs. Main activities of the project: 1. Open project competitions have been implemented to raise NGO public awareness of a child- and family-friendly and supportive environment; 2. Commemoration and promotion of cohabitation of large families and families caring for children with disabilities is ensured; 3. Support measures have been provided for family-friendly employers, who provide a family-friendly working environment and offer families with children services and products under preferential conditions; 4. Accessibility of children's and young people's programmes for children with functional and developmental disabilities is ensured; 5. Educational and support measures for children and families implemented: a) education of children and young people, forming an understanding of the mutual relations of young people and promoting the strengthening of healthy mutual relations in families, including on such topics as healthy mutual relations in the family, safe relations, mutual relations and communication; b) education of parents and other persons involved in child care regarding the development of mutual relations in the family and the role of parents in the healthy development of children; 6. Improvement and development of the platform www.vietagimenei.lv has been promoted; 7. Measures to ensure communication and visual identity requirements have been implemented; 8. Project management and implementation ensured. As a result of the project, children with development difficulties, underdevelopment or the risk of its formation (cumulative number) will receive support, for which positive development and self-realization has been promoted: Until 31 December 2024, the number of children under 18 years of age receiving support shall be 1500; By 31 December 2029, 4500 children under 18 years of age received support. As well as at least 400 persons caring for children under the age of 18 will have participated in activities that contribute to the positive development and social integration of children and at least 50 non-governmental organisations will have received support for the development of a family and child-friendly environment. Number of supported national, regional or local public administrations or public service bodies and services: 1. The total funding available under the project is EUR 8 397 548, consisting of EUR 7 137 915 from the European Social Fund Plus and EUR 1 259 633 from the State budget. The implementation period of the project runs from the conclusion of the project implementation agreement – Q3 2024 to 31 December 2029.
