Creation of a professional support system for teachers

The aim of the project "Establishment of the Professional Support System for Teachers" is to create and develop a unified and strategically supervised professional support system at the level of the state, local governments and educational institutions for the improvement of the quality of the teaching process in general and vocational education, to promote the excellence of learners and to provide methodological support materials for teachers. In order to achieve the objective of the project, the following activities will be implemented: 1. Providing unified and strategically supervised professional support in all areas of learning and aspects of the implementation of educational work in general and vocational education at national level, building on existing professional support networks and coordinating cooperation between stakeholders. 2. Provision of professional support in all fields of study or subjects and aspects of the implementation of educational work in general education at the level of local governments, strengthening the practice of the implementation of professional support in local governments and cooperation with vocational education institutions in the implementation of the teaching content of general education. 3. Provision of local and international professional support at the level of educational institutions, including targeted professional support for vocational secondary schools, technical schools, colleges and competence centres for arts education, which implement vocational education programmes of secondary level and ensure the supervision of methodological work in the implementation of the content of vocational education in their field, linking the content of vocational education training with the content of general education training, and training for educators and other persons involved in the implementation of educational programmes, implementation of professional support, development and evaluation of the content of education. 4. Development or adaptation of methodological support materials for general education, including approbation, review, publication and maintenance, taking into account the requirements of pre-school education guidelines and state basic education and general secondary education standards, as well as the identified learning needs of students and professional support needs of teachers. Priority will be given to the development of methodological support materials for the sequential planning of lessons in Latvian language, mathematics, programming, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, engineering, geography, history and social sciences. 5. Development and development of state-established digital platforms for education, including the availability of educational resources to support educators and the participation of talented learners in online support activities, as well as the improvement of the assessment system. 6. Promoting the excellence of learners in general education subjects at local, regional, national and international level. The support is intended for the implementation of educational, cooperation and networking measures for the development of students' talents, including measures of practical orientation for the development of students' talents and knowledge, camps and classes for the promotion of the Olympiads of State subjects and the excellence of Latvian pupils. 7. Ensuring project management and implementation, including carrying out evaluations. It is planned to involve the parties involved in the implementation of the project, including higher education institutions, non-governmental organisations - professional associations, local governments, educational institutions and teachers, as well as other institutions and industry experts involved in ensuring the quality of education, professional support and development of professional competence. A final evaluation is planned at the end of the project. The results of the evaluations are planned to be taken into account both in the improvement of the implementation of the project and in the planning of professional support after the end of the project, including by assessing financing opportunities from State budget funds or other sources. 8. Communication and visual identity measures on the implementation of the project will be planned in accordance with the laws and regulations laying down the procedures by which the institutions involved in the management of European Union funds ensure the implementation of these funds in the 2021-2027 programming period, as well as in compliance with the guidelines for the communication and design of the European Union funds for the 2021-2027 programming period and the Recovery Fund. As part of the project, the following main deliverables are planned by 31 August 2029: A professional support system for teachers and a network of mutual cooperation at national and local level have been established, providing a unified and strategically supervised
