The aim of the project is to purchase zero-emission vehicles and their charging equipment for the autonomous functions of the municipality of Smiltene and for the fulfilment of the administrative tasks arising from these autonomous functions. By investing in zero-emission vehicles, the transition to a climate-neutral economy will be promoted.The target group of the measure is recipients and providers of social services, social assistance and social care, as well as municipal cultural workers.The project will purchase three zero-emission vehicles of category M1 with special adaptations, also for the transport of wheelchair users and people with special needs. Zero-emission vehicles will be used for the autonomous functions of the municipality: Smiltene Municipality Social Service for social functions; the social care centre ‘Trapene’, established by the Smiltene Municipal Council and financed from the municipal budget and subordinate to it, for the performance of social functions; The project is planned to be implemented by 31 December 2026 at the latest, with the total project costs amounting to EUR 255 000.00, of which EUR 216 750,00 is JTF funding and EUR 38 250,00 is co-financing by Smiltene municipality.
