The aim of the project is to establish two separate waste collection sites in Olaine Municipality in order to develop an efficient separate waste collection system and to promote the preparation of materials for re-use, recycling and recovery. The project includes the creation of squares in Olaine City, Celtnieku Street 3, and Olaine Parish, the property "Līduma Massif", as well as the organisation of public education and environmental awareness raising events. The main activities of the project include: • development of construction designs for civic amenity sites; • the construction of civic amenity sites; • the organisation of public education activities to promote active participation in separation; • mandatory publicity measures. The expected result is the acceptance of 891.2 tonnes of sorted waste in both plots per year (of which 642.64 tonnes/g is municipal waste). The total eligible costs of the project are EUR 555 381.27. Of these, EUR 344 861.70 is planned to be covered from the Fund's resources and EUR 210 519.57 from the project applicant's own resources. The project will start after the conclusion of the contract with the liaison body and is planned to be completed by the end of 2027.
