Promotion of international cooperation between LBTU and cooperation partners for excellence in research

The aim of the project is to promote the international cooperation of LBTU and cooperation partners in the field of research by increasing the participation of scientific institutions in the Horizon Europe programme and whether 10. IP: The project is implemented by the Latvian University of Bioscience and Technology (LBTU) together with partners: APP Horticultural Institutes (DI) and APP Agro-Resources and Economics Institute (AREI). Cooperation partners implement a non-economic project. The main activities of the project include the preparation of applications for Horizon Europe or Framework Programme 10 assessed above the quality threshold, establishing and strengthening international cooperation networks and increasing the scientific capacity of LBTU, DI and AREI. Expected results: 1. Strengthened international cooperation of LBTU, AREI and DI in the field of research and connection with the field of specialization of the Latvian Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3), as well as development of interdisciplinary areas of specialization of RIS3, including increasing participation of LBTU, AREI and DI in the Horizon Europe programme. 2.Not less than 63 programmes supported by the ERDF and assessed above the quality threshold under Horizon Europe and programmes 10. Applications for IP projects. The duration of the project is 56 months. Start of implementation of the project - 2nd quarter of 2025, while the deadline for implementation of the planned activities - 4th quarter of 2029 Total costs: 819 000 euros, including ERDF funding - 696 150 euros and state budget funding - 122 850 euros. Breakdown of funding: LBTU - EUR 597 000, DI - EUR 76 000, AREI - EUR 146 000.
