SIA 3R is the leading end-of-life tyre recycling company in Latvia, which annually collects and processes more than 6 thousand tonnes of end-of-life tyres. The company falls into the category of small enterprise and is active in the waste collection and sorted material recycling sector (NACE classification 38.32 and 38.11). The company's activities are carried out in the rolling field in Riga, Atlasa Street 4, and the following services are currently being offered to customers:-Collection and recycling of all types of end-of-life tyres;-Collection and recycling of textiles;-Collection and sale of packaging waste;-Collection of old electrical goods.The project aims to promote the transition to a circular economy by establishing a new sorting, recycling and recovery plant for end-of-life tyres in Riga and ensuring the recycling of at least 10 thousand tonnes of end-of-life tyres every year.The following activities are planned to be implemented in the project:1)Development of technical documentation for the establishment of a new tyre recycling plant;2)Acquisition of a tyre recycling line;3)Acquisition of tractor machinery;4)Construction of a new tyre recycling plant;5)Construction supervision;6)Authority supervision;7)Implementation of public awareness measures.The project is to be implemented in real estate at Starta Street 8A, Riga, LV-1026, where it is planned to recycle at least 12 505 tonnes of worn tyres per year.The total project costs are planned to be EUR 7 387 528.99, including Cohesion Fund funding of EUR 5 502 724.55, which represents 74.49% of the total eligible costs, and private eligible costs of EUR 1 884 804.44.The project is planned to be implemented within 24 months, i.e. from January 2025 to December 2026.
