The Daugava River is adjacent to the part of the Castle Convention (Castel) and the Castle of Riga with its foregrounds is part of the architectural monument of national importance ‘Riga Castle ensemble with bastion fragments’ (protection No 6594), located in the territory of the archaeological monument of national importance ‘Archaeological complex of Vecrīga’ (protection No 2070) and UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site No 852 ‘Historical Centre of Riga’. Main activities of the project1.1. Elaboration of the technical design:To develop the documentation of the construction intention, to receive the technical regulations.To coordinate the documentation of the construction intention with the responsible institutions.1.2. Construction work:Prepare a plan and schedule for the organization of works.Perform dismantling works in accordance with the documentation of the construction intention.According to the documentation of the construction intention, perform:-Installation of the digital information stand;-Installation of the facade lighting;-Replacement of household sewer pipes and yard arrangement works;-Infiltration cassette placement and connection of the rainwater system.Ensure the use of high-quality and sustainable materials and compliance with the documentation of the construction intention.1.3. Author's supervision, construction supervision:To ensure the implementation of the project according to the solutions of the construction intention.To ensure the flow of information and cooperation between the builder, author's supervision and construction supervisor.2. Expected results2.1 Riga Castle improvement works:· Rain water drainage at ground level to the infiltration cassettes to be built in green areas, water is drained from the castle walls and the climate of the building's basement premises is improved.·Lighting of the Daugava gate façade of Riga Castle during the dark hours of the day (light line above the 1st floor cornice and illumination of the museum's inscription above the passageway).A digital information stand has been installed that attracts visitors by offering information prepared by the LNVM on events for enjoying the historical heritage.·Replacement of household sewer pipes and arrangement of the yard (levelled existing soil). ·Modernly compliant working environment for museum employees.Number of visitors: up to 5000 (2025-2030) Output indicator RCO 77 Number of cultural and tourism sites supported - 1 site Result indicator RCR 77 Visitors of cultural and tourism sites supported - 1000 visitors/year Equality, inclusion, non-discrimination and respect for fundamental rights indicator VNPI_12 Number of sites where access to environment and information is ensured as a result of ERDF/CF investments - 1 site.3.
