Creation of a Brass Separation Line at Metalekspo

The aim of the project is to establish an efficient and modern waste recycling facility where sorted and shredded electrical and electronic equipment and metal waste will be separated by metal types and recycled into secondary raw materials.Key project activities:1)Establishment of waste recycling facilities, including the purchase and installation of a brass separation line. In addition to the technological line, it is necessary to install steel support structures, paths and stairs for the service personnel of the equipment, as well as to purchase two forklifts.2)Organization of public education and environmental awareness raising activities. It is planned that the planned campaign will include carrying out surveys on electrical and electronic equipment transfer habits, media events and campaign video production, advertising campaigns in printed and digital media, attracting influencers, organising competitions/lottery among residents who have transferred used equipment to sorting areas, publishing a book for primary school children on the recycling of electrical equipment.The total cost of the project reaches more than 1.7 million EUR. EUR. It is planned that material investments of the project will be co-financed by the Cohesion Fund in the amount of 65%, while public awareness measures will be implemented with 100% support.As a result of the implementation of the project, additional capacity will be created for the recycling of waste, in particular for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment and metal waste of at least 11 660 tonnes per year.The project is planned to start after the submission of the application to the CFCA and to be implemented by the end of 2025.
