Channeling the junction of highway 27 and Asematie in Nivala

Highway 27 is an important road access between North Ostrobothnia and Northern Savonia in Finland. Highway 27 starts from Kalajoki and it passes through a few settlements before ending in Iisalmi. The project area is approximately 0,4 kilometers long road section of highway 27. It is in the area of the city of Nivala, more precisely in the northern part of the city center. The project area includes the traffic and bus stop arrangements of the Asematie junction. The project is located in the area of commercial services, therefore the traffic volumes in the area are very high. Consequently, in project solutions and arrangements during work, special attention must be paid to heavy and light traffic, accessibility, and environmental requirements and coordination. The project aims to increase traffic safety and improve traffic flow.
