The main goal of the project is to promote the different areas of digitization in the city of Joensuu, enabling the creation of new services and business for the municipalities and the private sector. The sub-goals of the project are to develop the availability of information capital of the city of Joensuu and thus improve the services offered to residents and businesses. In addition, electronic transactions independent of time and place will be developed, and a cooperation network will be formed to develop digital solutions together. The measures of the project are divided into three mutually supportive work packages, which are: 1. Knowledge capitals needs and development of supply (mapping and roadmap of management with information and implementations, piloting of analytics and artificial intelligence solutions) 2. Innovations and electronic business (development of electronic services and processes by utilizing software robotics, automation and artificial intelligence solutions, piloting and implementation of IoT solutions) 4. A new kind of digital partner and cooperation (building a cooperation network, benchmark examples of agile joint development methods and operational models, innovative methods and competition models are jointly developed with companies) The project responds to the strategic goals related to the development of digitization at the national (Ministry of Finance, digital program), provincial (POKAT 2025) and municipal level (Joensuu city strategy and digital program 2022-2025). In addition, the content of the project complies with the goals recorded in the Renewing and Competent Finland 2021 - 2027 program.
