In this project, there are two major goals. One is to optimize the combustion process of various wood-based fuels burned in power plants by using AI-based moisture prediction. Another goal is to develop weather-based moisture prediction model for roadside storages of forest energy, and guidance for storage deployment. In addition, based on separately collected empirical research data, determination of the conversion factors between quantities describing the quantity and quality of forest energy is in major interest. These can be used in the commercial measurement of forest energy or in the comparison of quantities in the forest energy trade.
