DigiBoost is a project aimed at micro and small businesses, their entrepreneurs, and staff in Lapland. The project's indirect target groups are the companies' partners and customers who benefit from the project's measures and new expertise in the form of better and wider services and products. The project addresses the problem of businesses being at risk of being left out of digitalization if they do not keep up with technological developments. The project aims to increase the competitiveness of Lapland's businesses by accelerating digital and advanced technology knowledge and adoption. The XBit Tornio development environment is used as a facilitator for business and university cooperation and development to achieve this goal. The project aims to create stronger connections between companies that develop digital business by organizing open DigiBoost business events and industry-specific DigiBoost club events. In addition, companies committed to digital development are offered the opportunity for DigiBoost piloting, where digital solutions are developed for companies' problems. The project's goal is to organize work within companies in new ways, and new ideas and innovations are born in various networks. The DigiBoost project is a response to the need for comprehensive digital and technological skills to succeed in the current and future business environment.
