Energy recovery and reuse - EVITA

The project will research, develop and solve ways to recover and utilize waste heat through practical pilots and testing. The project's activities are mainly structured around three different case studies on recovery and utilization of waste heat. These case studies will be examined from pre-planning to data collection from the actually invested systems. Businesses and municipal organisations need to reduce and improve the energy use of their buildings, but the information needed to make decisions is not always available. The project aims to provide this information through case studies and demo sites. The project will provide information that can be widely used to support investment decisions to improve the energy efficiency of a wide range of businesses and buildings. The project will develop energy efficiency solutions for industry, greenhouse farming and municipal buildings, as well as short-term storage of thermal energy and increased use of renewable energy. The result will be effective and scalable solutions with broad applicability. Although the project does not directly address residential and service buildings, the results of the project are also directly applicable to these buildings.
