InnoCareHub

The implementation period of InnoCareHub project is 1.9.2024 -31.5.2027 The need for customer-centric digital social and healthcare services is increasing in the coming decades as the population of Kanta-Häme and in Finland ages. According to the strategic guidelines of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, social and healthcare services should primarily be provided as e-services. Services should also promote the possibility of elderly people living at home. As the population ages, the need to modernize services using technology is important. The development of services is necessary from the perspectives of both social and healthcare services delivered to the homes of elderly people and the development of business and vitality for SMEs. The project will build a cross-sectoral center of expertise and a co-development network to renew the offering of digital services delivered to homes and to develop related business in the area. The project will develop social and healthcare digital capabilities and innovate new service concepts in the Kanta-Häme region with home care service providers. The objectives of the project are: 1. Building a center of expertise and co-development network in the Kanta-Häme region to develop home and remote care services to align with the region's smart specialization strategy. 2. Developing socially, economically, and ecologically sustainable new service concepts to promote the business of SMEs in home care in Kanta-Häme. 3. Strengthening the digital capabilities and technological expertise of home care providers in Kanta-Häme. The target groups of the project are: 1. Providers of home and remote care services operating in the Kanta-Häme region, who are developing their business and service concepts. 2. Companies producing and developing technology for remote and home care, who need a cross-sectoral network for piloting, further development, and implementation of their solutions or products. The novelty of the project is based on assembling a network of home care service entrepreneurs and companies producing technology for home and remote care, as well as initiating systematic collaboration to develop new services in partnership with a multidisciplinary team from Häme University of Applied Sciences. The network strengthens the vitality of businesses and the region through collaborative development. Additionally, the project enhances the ability of service provider companies to deliver new technology-enabled services to home care clients. Developing and providing digital services enriches the companies' expertise and impacts the tasks of their staff. The production of digital services and new types of services serve as retention factors for the staff of the companies. The development and innovation collaboration between technology companies, service providers, citizens aged 55 and over, and university of applied sciences employees form a partnership aimed at testing, researching, evaluating, and developing sustainable solutions and business models for services and the technologies used within them. The collaborative network built in the project strengthens the expertise of all participating parties. As a result of the project, an expertise hub for home-based services will be established. Its purpose is to promote socially, ecologically, and economically sustainable business and expertise in providing intelligent services to enhance the quality and efficiency of services in the Kanta-Häme region. The task of the expertise hub network is to renew service models in collaboration with the region's population and stakeholders. The actors of the expertise hub participate in international research and development cooperation to utilize intelligent technology in home-based services. Additionally, the task of the expertise hub network is to participate in national and international discussions and share knowledge about intelligent solutions through a portal built in the project.
