Globally networked Tampere automotive and vehicle technology industry ( SIX GLOW)

The project’s goal is to maximize the international opportunities offered by the largest transformation in industrial history (the digital and green twin transition) and the for local companies. The project promotes the growth, internationalization, and strengthening of R&D activities of the region’s most significant industry (Intelligent machine and vehicle technology industry) SMEs, as well as opening new international business opportunities and partnerships for companies. The project also aims to significantly increase the attractiveness and impact of ecosystems, the growth and diversification of the region’s industry, and the strengthened position of the region (visibility, recognition, attractiveness, proactivity) to support the growth and internationalization of companies. The project strongly promotes the vision related to and guiding the digital and green technology development of the Tampere region: “The Tampere region is one of the world’s most renowned hubs for digitalization, environmental, and technology development expertise in the vehicle and work machine industry. It serves as a centre for innovation and development activities, and as an export driver, attracting new business, strategic partnerships, investments, and talent.” The project includes the following objectives: Objective 1: Situation Analysis and Process Development Objective 2: Capabilities and Readiness. Objective 3: International Networks and Companies. As a result of the project, companies in the Tampere region will maximize the international opportunities offered by the on-going technological transformation. The business of the region’s most significant industries will grow and internationalize, increasing the region’s technological self-sufficiency and resilience. The attractiveness, impact, and international visibility of the ecosystem will grow, strengthening the region’s profile as one of the most important technology development centres for the vehicle and work machine industry.
