The investment in the Juuka Retulahde harbor involves the development and construction of the harbor, with the first phase of the project planned to be implemented in 2025. A preliminary study has already been conducted with AKKE funding. The development of the harbor area requires the renewal of dock structures, the addition of guest boat spaces, and updates to the infrastructure to enable and increase business activities. The development of the harbor supports the growth of water traffic on Lake Pielinen and tourism in the Pielinen basin, while also creating more concrete and potential business opportunities for the region.
