In Satakunta, additional efforts must be made to renew and diversify the regional economy. In particular, the goal should be to develop business networks and support business service ecosystems. Port and industrial areas are such ecosystems, where actors seek concrete synergies through joint activities and services. The results of activities should be reflected in the growth of clusters. The strategy for smart specialisation in Satakunta identifies seven such clusters, all of which have port and industrial areas as hubs of activity. The eighth cluster mentioned is common to all the others, namely security and security of supply. In Satakunta, as in the whole of Finland, we must be prepared for possible crises and disruptions so that people, businesses and society can live their daily lives safely. Satakunta has a wealth of strengths and capabilities that help to maintain security of supply, such as energy production, food production, diverse industry, garrisons, a security centre, an emergency services centre and logistical links (ports, rail, airports, land transport). West Coast exports and imports are the backbone of Finland's security of supply. Ports and industrial areas form the core of Finland's economy. Inputs for the food chain, among other things, move through the ports. The number of different operators in these areas has increased dramatically. This places special demands on security, information management and the smooth flow of logistics, both for people and vehicles. Legal and security requirements, as well as data transmission and storage, are all influencing issues. The project will identify the current situation and needs for the use of logistics data of safety- critical actors in port and industrial areas. What are the data obligations for operators in the areas, what data already exists, what is missing, who owns the data and how can the data be put to use? And can a shared will be found to use data to improve security and security of supply, for example through a common data ecosystem? The main novelty of the project is to bring the security and security of supply of port and industrial areas to a significantly new level. The project will result in concrete solutions and measures that are recommended to be used and implemented by the target groups. This is essential for their security as they operate in an increasingly networked digital environment.
