The overall goal is to develop various traffic modes more fluent in a touristically significant Vuokatti area. As a consequence, different sub-areas of Vuokatti become more accessible, which in turn has a favourable impact on the competitive ability and operational prerequisities of the small and medium sized companies. Also the environmental cosyness, traffic environment and traffic safety will be improved. The project will improve the local traffic network by constructing a roundabout in the junction of public roads 899 (Pohjavaarantie) and 8991 (Kuikkalammintie). Besides, new pedestrian and biking routes adjacent to the roundabout and a bus stop are constructed. As a result of this investment project, the traffic safety has improved. There has been new investments on the area, and the competitive ability and operational prerequisities of the small and medium sized companies have improved.
