The project includes an investment of a new wood pellet factory in Binderholz Nordic's Lieksa unit, which will enable Binderholz Nordic's Lieksa unit to start wood pellet production and export wood pellet to the Central and Southern European and UK markets. The production of wood pellet will be launched in early 2025 at the latest. Due to the increase in added value, the sales of the Lieksa unit will increase significantly. The direct effect on employment in the Lieksa unit is 5 new employees and the project also has significant indirect regional employment effects.
