The Ruka area has a great ieffect in maintaining and strengthening the vitality of Kuusamo. The sustainable development of the area requires cooperation and commitment of several actors. The Ruka2030 Naturally best for business project enables development of operating environment, increase of participation of different actors, and thus creation of new business opportunities. The main aims of the project are development of the operating environment for companies in the Ruka region, enhance investments and increase attraction of business opportunities in the area nationally and internationally. The project includes three working packages with theris individual topics and objectives: 1. Ruka2030 road map. The aim of the working package is to enable information-based and planned development of the Ruka area. The work package implements the Ruka2030 road map, which serves as a tool for the development work. The work package includes analysis of the current state, risk mapping, identification of development demands and selection of priorities, and determining the role of actors. 2. Cooperation and networks. The aim of the working package is to form a flexibly and efficiently functioning network, which aims to develope operating environment and to advance investments to the area. The activity of the network enhances cooperation and reduces overlapping of development activities. 3. Invest in Ruka. The aim of working package is to advance the implementation of investments in the Ruka area via communication and marketing. The project is implemented by city of Kuusamo. Project execution period is 1.3.2024-28.2.2026.
